Following the moon

I look forward to the full moon every time it goes away.  It's not quite back yet, but it's starting to show up, and the sky was clear and beautiful tonight and showed it off very nicely.  I followed it all around the yard.  So beautiful!

Snow Caps in Texas?

I pulled over on the way home from doing laundry.  Where did those snow capped mountains come from??

Week Two: Sunrise around the corner

I was running late to work.  And it was sort of rainy.  And it was a Friday (which i count as definite traffic risk factor).  As i went to pull out of my street, onto the highway, i saw this magnificence.

And even though i was running late, and even though it was sort of rainy, and even though it was Friday, i pulled over and got out took pictures.

God's works are masterful, and they surprise me every time.

And i made it on time to work.

Week One: Horsey

I'm a sucker for a beautiful sky, and this evening was pretty nice.  But i've done a lot of that lately, so i tried something else.  There's this farm/ranch type place that is the subject of my gawking many times throughout the year.  I was hoping that the cows were grazing picturesquely in the dead winter grass, but when i slowed down by my gawking place, i saw this fellow.  He was kind of spooked when i stopped my car, so my pictures are fuzzy and far away.  But the longer i stood and took pictures, the closer he wandered to me.  Like he was working up the courage to make a friend.  Most of the time, he just kept looking at me and then positioning himself closer.

At this point, i got a little spooked myself, and i thanked Horsey for the pictures and got in my car.  :)
